Dear Liberty Elementary School Families,

This past school year was another one of celebration for our Liberty community.  With parent and community support, our garden is flourishing with an added sidewalk courtesy of Sundt Corporation and a new shed and trellis thanks to our devoted Liberty PTO

In June, our staff welcomed teachers from all over the country as a destination for the National Ag in the Classroom Conference. It was a joy to share with fellow educators about the evolution of our program and the process we are using to develop Agriculturally literate students. In addition, many of our teachers were invited to present over the three day conference on individual projects and grade level programs.  It was an honor to be selected to not only present but welcome onsite visitors. Please check out the pictures of this memorable day on our Liberty website here.

School supply lists are also available on both the website and our Facebook page by grade level, so make sure to review in preparation for the new school year.

Our Open House/Meet the Teacher event will begin at 5:00pm on Monday, August 1st.  All families will enter through the gym to get an overview of some of the programs available to meet the individual needs of your child here at Liberty. We are excited to introduce our new music and art programs as well as rekindle relationships with groups such as Liberty PTO, Jerry’s Heroes, Kohl's F.I.T. - Families in Training, and the University of Arizona Nutrition Network and food services.  Class lists will be available via Parent Portal beginning Thursday, July 28th and during the Open House. Teachers will be on hand in their classrooms until 6:30 pm to welcome you to the new school year. Please remember students' individual information will not be released by phone.

Our first day of school will be Wednesday, August 3rd. School grounds open at 7:00am and the bell rings daily at 7:25am sharp. Please remember Wednesday is an early release day and your student will be out at 1:30pm. All other days will remain at the 2:30pm daily dismissal.

We also invite you to join us for our annual bell ringing ceremony which will take place on August 3rd at 8am in our amphitheater.

We hope this message finds you well and looking forward to beginning another memorable school year as part of the Liberty family.  If you have any further questions, feel free to visit our website, Facebook page or Twitter page. You may also email, call the school, or stop by our school office Monday through Thursday, 8am-4pm.

Always yours in PRIDE,
Jennifer Gray
Principal
